Lake One is 876 acres of northwoods paradise, with an average depth of 57 feet. It's also entry point #30 to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) with 18 entry permits granted per day from May 1 to September 30. Water access is via a canoe landing. Lake One is at the end of the Fernberg Road, east of Ely. This is the second most popular Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) entry point. Reservations are a must.
