Wood Lake is entry point #26 to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with 2 entry permits granted per day from May to September 30. Wood is 643 acres with a maximum depth of 21 feet. The portage to Wood Lake is 180 rods, which is pretty significant. Tofte Lake is a designated trout lake with canoe access. Tofte is 155 acres with a maximum depth of 73 feet. A short video tour of the Tofte Lake access point will be available soon.
