Legion Lake is a small campground on highway 16A seven miles east of the town of Custer. Legion Lake itself is small and supports non-motorized boating activity. A handicapped access fishing dock lets everyone enjoy some fun fishing. There is no boat launch - you just walk your craft down the thoe shore. There is a store on the shore of Legion Lake which offers boat rentals and other water sports gear. For those interested in mountain biking, they also offer rentals. Legion Lake campground itself offers flush toilets, showers, playground and telephone.
