North Stockade Lake campground is one of the busiest, but also one
of the prettiest in the park. It is also the highest campground
in the park at 5,171 feet. Tall, handsome stands of ponderosa pine
dot the hilly and serene campground.
If you like lakes, this is a nice place to camp. Stockade Lake contains
trout, pike and bass.. There's also a boat ramp access with any
size motor allowed. Flush toilets, playground, showers and an evening
naturalist program make this a good spot to camp for the family.
