Surprisingly, Grand Canyon National Park offers some excellent fishing for rainbow trout. The place to go is the extreme northeast sliver of park from Lee's Ferry to the confluence with the Little Colorado River(50 to 60 miles downstream). There are also several trout-filled creeks in Grand Canyon such as Tapeats Creek and Royal Arch Creek. The trout don't see much pressure, so any basic fly pattern fished with minimal drag should do the job. July and August tend to slow the fishing down due to extreme heat.

To fish the Grand Canyon, you need an Arizona fishing license. The annual resident license is $23.50, while the annual nonresident license is $70.25.
A 5 day license for nonresidents is $32, while a 1 day license for nonresidents is $17.25, and $16.25 for residents. Of course, to fish for the trout in Grand Canyon National Park, you also need the Trout Stamp. It's $8 a day for residents, and $9 a day for nonresidents. The annual trout stamp is $15.75 for residents and $57.75 for a nonresidents.
