The North Rim campground in Grand Canyon National Park is a fairly
remote, but sizeable campground. North Rim is a very popular campground,
and we recommend you make reservations well in advance: 1-877-444-6777.
Most of the campground is in a shady pine forest. After mid October,
the campground goes "primitive" with no modern conveniences
until snow closes the road. North Rim offers modern restrooms.
This really is a very pretty campground at a rather high elevation.
Those who have problems with altitude will want to take things
very slowly the first couple day and drink plenty of water. Also,
there is no question this is one of the more remote campsites
in the entire national park system.
