The weather in Grand Teton National Park is unpredictable and
can be severe. Always bring rain gear and warmer clothes even
in summer. Expect cool alpine nights even if the days are very
warm. Storms can hit fast and hard, so always be prepared. There
is often a massive difference between the weather at the valley
floor and the weather just a few thousand feet up in the mountains.
It can snow at any given time in the park. The majestic moutnain
range can hide storm fronts, then spring them on you in the blink
of an eye. Make sure you have a warm enough sleeping bag in all
season. A good quality +35 synthetic should keep you covered from
early June to the end of August. From there, you'll want a quality
+20 down bag for fall, late fall and early spring.
Avg max high/low temp:
January: high 25.7, low 1.2
July: high 79.8, low 41.2
September: high 68.9, low 32.2
