Lewis and Clark National Forest
looking up the steep, pine covered hill at Kings Hill campground
Kings Hill Campground

Kings Hill campground is one of Montana's highest drive-in campgrounds at over 7,000 feet. It is very close to the well known Showdown Ski Area in the Jefferson Division of the Lewis and Clark National Forest. The closest sizable town is White Sulphur Springs southbound on U.S. 89 for 31 miles.

Kings Hill seems to have an excellent population of mule deer. The surrounding national forest is also home to a wide variety of animals including elk, black bear and mountain lion.

The area has considerable jeep and mountain bike trails. The Little Belt Mountains provide a neat island range experience in this part of Montana.
