Presque Isle campground is set on the far western side of Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the Presque Isle River Corridor. The campground offers a scenic location with old growth forest and a steep shoreline boundary with Lake Superior. The Presque Isle River is within easy walking distance of the campground along with several waterfalls. This makes the campground an outstanding location for those seeking some really fantastic scenery involving steep hikes. The campground itself is set in a surreal grove of old growth hardwoods, a rare treat in the northwoods. Presque Isle Campground provides vault toilets. Those interested in hiking the spectacular Lake Superior Trail will be happy to know it's next to Presque Isle Campground.
