Sylvania Wilderness

Weather

The Sylvania Wilderness area experiences your typical northwoods weather. Summers can be very humid with tremendous thundershowers, and winters can be downright frigid. When camping in the wilderness, always be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Waterproof gear bags would go a long way on a canoe trip. I've been in the area when it's 32 degrees in June. I've experienced 80 degrees in late September. Conditions can vary wildly, although not as wildly as the mountain west.
