Theodore Roosevelt National Park can get incredibly hot in the
summer. Make sure you always have a good clean source of water
and the ability to seek cool shade. Water sources are very scarce
in the park. The closest free water is Cottonwood campground.
Make sure you have a hat to keep your head out of the sun. Stay
hydrated and wear sunscreen in the summer months.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park can get incredibly cold in the
winter, so clothing typical of the upper midwest and mountainous
regions of the U.S.is the appropriate choice. Refer to this page
for current weather conditions, and stay on top of the situation.
Avg max high/low temp:
January: high 26.9, low 1.2
July: high 87.1, low 54.5
