Voyageurs National Park is an excellent place to observe bald
eagles and osprey. For photography, you will need a long prime
or zoom lens to capture their flight. 300mm on a 1.6x crop DSLR
is a good start, with more reach the better. A standard point
and shoot will do the job with landscapes, while a 18-55mm zoom
on a 1.6x crop DSLR will be more than enough for landscapes. The
lake raptors of Voyageurs National Park will be out in daylight.
But if you are after some of the woodland birds, search forest
meadow edges in low light hours.
