Voyageurs

Voyaguers National Park is truly a watery wonder. Created in 1975, Voyageurs is the nation's 36th national park, and one of the most unique. 84,000 acres of freshwater lakes create an endless option for water based activities. Moose, deer and wolves roam the wooded forests and swamplands.Voyageurs current landscape was largely the cause of glaciation, which carved the rolling hills and created the waterways you see today.

Voyaguers is within an easy drive of Minneapolis, making it a popular getaway for those seeking water based recreation from the midwest's large population centers. If seeing a national park via watercraft is your top priority, it's hard to go wrong with Voyageurs National Park.
