Yellowstone National Park
Madison

Madison is a popular campground thirteen miles inside the West Yellowstone Entrace in the western portion of Yellowstone National Park. Full modern bathrooms are provided, as well as snack machines. The Madison River borders the campground, and a two minute walk will bring you to it's shores. The fishing can be excellent, so if you stay at Madison campground, bring a rod and a Yellowstone National Park fishing permit. It's a central area for fishermen and those interested in Old Faithful(15 miles south). In late summer/early fall, this is a good area to see elk(as seen in the campground photo at the top of this page).
