Campgrounds are Parkcamper.com's specialty. We offer full video
campground tours on DVD. Be sure to click on each campground on
the campground map for its respective page.
Yosemite National Park offers one of the top camping experiences
in our national park system. The soaring peaks, giant old growth
forests, clear rushing streams and endless granite alpine country
provide a mesmerizing backdrop. There are few places where you
will find this startling diversity and grandeur.
Reservations for Yosemite National Park campgrounds can be made
at this number and website:
877/444-6777
(or 877/833-6777 for TDD)
(or 518/885-3639 from outside the US & Canada)

Like with other National Park campgrounds, signing up and paying
for your site is easy. Simply walk up to the campground entrance
registration center, fill out the form, insert your money, tear
off your portion of the envelope (receipt) then deposit the envelope
in the collection box. You then place your receipt on your campground
stake (usually this has your site number and a clip). Some campgrounds
in Yosemite National Park operate on a first come, first serve
basis, and some on a reservation system as well. Also, some of
these campgrounds require you to pay at a front office rather
than with a strong box and envelope system. Some Yosemite National
Park campgrounds can fill by 11 AM, especially the ones closer
to Yosemite Valley. Gathering firewood in Yosemite National Park
is permitted as long as it is only dead and downed wood. Campfires
in Yosemite campgrounds are allowed only between 5 pm and 10 PM
in the warmer months. Generators are allowed for light use between
7 am and 7 pm. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM. Check out time
in Yosemite National Park is 10 AM. Also, pets are prohibited
on unpaved trails and the wilderness at all times. They must also
be kept on leashes no longer than six feet.
Yosemite National Park has an operation called "Yosemite
High Sierra Camps" located back in the wilderness. It's a
canvas tent-style layout spread on a loop trail in the high country.
