I guess the best thing we should do in regards with cooking in camping trips..maybe grilled food is best, you just need to wash the meat, fish, vegetable, etc then add some seasoning, then that's it..food is serve with for a short time only..

We used to camp a lot when I was a kid. Dad had this small portable stove that we used for cooking, sometimes he'd go fishing and we'd get the fish fried right away - it was the freshest and the yummiest.  Cheesy Of course, you don't store food when camping, you cook and eat right away.

We do have a great set up when we go camping. We usually bring in enough stuff for a few days. We have 2 coolers full of ice. Plus, I keep all my boxed, canned and seasoning stuff in a big box--I keep that in the back of our car to keep the critters out of it.

We use the open pit fire, a little griddle grill and our propane stove when we go camping. We eat better at camp usually, than when we are at home..lol Weird that way--but we do. Camping brings out healthy appetites.

I agree with this. This is what we do most in most of our camping trips actually. Saves time a lot for nature tripping. Cheesy

It seems fun! I mean fishing and eating what you caught...that is a good idea too...we used to camp too..when I was still in grade school and we only bring canned goods and bread...
