There are numerous items you need to take camping. Right on top of the list is Bug spray! Bandaids, neopsporin, a first aid kit. Also lots of blankets. Gadgets, lanterns, a grill, tent, sleeping bags.

Something to sleep in, something to cook on, something to eat from - that's to begin with. You also need your first aid kit, absolutely. Another good thing to have is a portable hand washer. We had one that you could hang on a tree, fill up with water, and there was a little faucet below.

One I would like to stress out for you to bring is either a hatchet or a knife. Although you have your food, your first aid kit and everything else, you still have to consider the dangers of the wild so better bring one for extra safety and also, perhaps for fun.

Oh yes, a hatchet for sure.
I bring everything that others have mentioned. I also bring 2 huge water containers full of water. There is a fresh water spring that we refill them with.
We also always make sure we have rope. It comes in handy. We hang our wet clothes on it and we also tie tarps up with it, and hang our trash from the trees with it.

Waterproof matches or windproof lighter, very important! Also I like to carry little string saw on me in case little hatchet is lost, it weighs only 60 grams and can cut wood, plastic, metal.

Of course, how could I forget that?? What is camping without a nice campfire, and how can you get one going without matches or lighter? Waterproof is a good idea.

My advice is for you to bring a jet pack! LOL. Just kidding. Kids suggested that to me once. Made me crazy for a while. Anyway, I'd also suggest you bring special first aids like those for snake bites. I mean for those dangers that could happen to whatever our camp site is. Also. A map of the area and a compass is usually suggested. You never know when it'll be helpful.

Made ma laugh out loud first before I could continue reading it. Oh well.
