Funny Camping Stories

Do you have any funny camping stories to tell? Things can really happen in the woods? Crazy things...

I remember last year--we were camping in our favorite free spot out in the national forest. It was very early morning. My boyfriend had headed down to the out house--that was one camp site away from us, it sits on the out side perimeter of the site. All of a sudden I hear these loud (very loud) moans--male and female--I didn't realize at first what it was because I was half awake and we were out in the woods---but sounds really carry in the early morning hours. Well, the moans continue---reach the peak--and then die down. OMG...I was laughing so hard when I realized what site it was coming from. When my boyfriend finally got back to the site--his face was all red. He was like, "Did you hear that? I was trapped in the bathroom. Didn't dare leave."..LOL It was just too funny!

What about you---any funny stories? Doesn't have to be like mine--can be anything as long as it has to do with camping.

Ouch! That is pretty silly of them! I would have stayed in the bathroom too.
I've gone out to go to the  bathroom at night and went back to the wrong campground - Even sat down in the chairs around the fire.. then realized. Was real tired!
Been told to be quiet many times when playing disco frisbee... My sig other fell into the fishing pond one night- when playing. He went after a bad throw- and splash!

  That was hilarious! Thanks for sharing it here. I don't remember much of my latest funny memories in camping actually. I'll post them here when I remember all of them. Again thanks for posting this, it made my day ha ha.

Kris--that's too funny! Sitting in chairs at some one elses campfire. OMG--that's great!

We have "almost" been caught setting off fireworks. The people on the other side of us was setting them off and then we would set some off--going back and forth. Well the Sheriff caught the other people and warned them. I had just reached in the car to grab some, when the Sheriff came walking on our site---luckily I didn't have them in my hand. We didn't get in trouble..LOL Thank goodness!

My little one talks to everybody. I was afraid he was going to say, "Want to watch the fireworks?"..lol

I remember when we were much younger and camping, two of the guys that were camping with us got in a fight and one of them tripped and fell on his back right on the barbecue grid while it was still hot! Not a pretty story but this guy latter on got a Barb as a nickname because still he has those grid scars on his back. Anyway that injury wasn't so serious.

not really that funny but its you guys to decide if its one ..actually last summer my 2 daughters  like to go on a camping for once since we havent really tried it its our first time to do this..so to make story short we are in the foot of the mt. apo..and trying to laid on our tents would you believe that all night long we weren't able to put up a tent?

Ernie- that is hilarious! I bet it wasn't at the time but I bet it is now thinking back on it.  I leave the setting up the tents to my sig other- he is great at that. A lot of times we take tents along with our camper.

Fireworks- lol... Sweet.... we can't take them into the campgrounds that we go into. We do them at home in our backyard. I love country living.

All night long!? Ha ha! I guess you'' never forget your first time huh? Hi hi. Didn't know there someone worse. Actually on our first time it took us 7 hours and that' from 7pm.
