Just got back from Glacier National Park and loved it. We stayed at two campgrounds, one being Many Glacier which was our favorite on the east side. The scenery was spectacular! We were able to find a site as soon as we got there, one of the sites back along the river - it was gorgeous. There was still a great deal of snow in the peaks, and there were mountain goats along the cliffs(bring binocs!).

We found the campsites offered plenty of room and privacy. The restrooms were always just a very short walk away. There are numerous hiking trails taking you past lakes, waterfalls and mountain meadows. Really something else.

We also liked the convenience of the camp store right next to the campground. We could walk over and get a treat for the kids anytime we wanted to(as long as the store was open). This might be our favorite spot in any national park we have seen. Well worth the $20 a night.

Our favorite campground in Glacier.

Positives:
Scenery is the most dramatic
Wildlife - lots of it, seems more so than other areas
Lakes, rivers

Negatives:
Lots of other people know the positives Smiley

You are literally seconds from a variety of fantastic trailheads. There's also a camp sotre with a place that serves meals. You can do boat rides on Swiftcurrent Lake, and actually a short hike from that to another boat ride on Lake Josephine. I think the camping sites are spacious, with good privacy. We like the ones along the creek. The restrooms are in good condition. Everything is within quick walking distance including the camp store and restaurant.

Big thumbs up for Many Glacier!

Awesome campground, world class. Tons of wildlife, world class trails five minutes from your camper/tent, a diner right there and the best scenery in the country. Be aware though that bears have entered and killed a people at Many Glacier campground. Really spooky when you think about it. I guess that possibility is there when you can see the bears with your own eyes feeding up on the slope right from the campground.

Many Glacier is a good campground but BUSY. We love the area but in our opinon there are better campgrounds in the park, but few places in the park comapre to the sheer beauty of Many Glacier. We saw bers here too along with moose.
