Thx Jim. That was taken on the north side of Mt. Washburn. It's located in the northern portion of the park, near Tower junction.

very nice pic...and speaking of Mt. Washburn in Yellowstone, it is one of the most popular hikes and trails offers expansive views of the eastern side of the park on clear, summer days..huh..planning to go there..

I like this photo, you were lucky to get such a good shot of the elks. Too bad none of the ladies are looking into the camera, but it is still good!  Grin

I want to go to Yellowstone someday, it's a great place to see.

That was a great shot I must say. You see can't get close too much on them whenever we see one. Makes me nervous. You know, you never really know when they get wild so better to always be on a safer distance.  Cool
