Hi everyone!
This thing is an absolute monster, taken in Yellowstone. I've never seen a bigger elk.

That is an incredible bull elk. Thanks for posting, Chowdog, and welcome to Parkcamper.com.
I've seen some big elk, but that is something else.

Cool photo! What is a bit scary is that a person is that close to the animal. This is dangerous and also against the law in the park.

Yes they are way too close. That elk could easily charge them off the road.

Huge and magnificent! I would not risk getting so close to him, LOL!
I suppose they are somewhat used to people, but still, it's a wild animal. You never know when he decides to remind you whose home it is.

Whoa! I've never seen one like that. You can say its huge and measure its size by seeing the person behind it. Though... Do you think it just happened that the one who took the shot is closer at the elk and the person behind it is farther? Because if so... Then the elk might really look huge... Just a thought though.

Can you estimate the length of it's horns, those things are HUGE!! I believe he weighs more than 700 pounds?

Thought so too actually. Maybe the one who took the shot was just so good that he made it look big, just a guess though since I was really amazed by the size of this elk.
