Our stay at Norris camp last August was pretty cool. We saw lots of elk, bison and coyote. There is a neat little river there which is fishable. We found this to be a nice spot for launching over to Old Faithful, and then down to Yellowstone Lake. We would stop for food and supplies at the Canyon visitor center which had some pretty decent food to be honest. Our kids really enjoyed Yellowstone. We liked how you could register yourself at the campground, and pick your own site unlike some of the other larger camps in the park. Our small RV had no trouble fitting anywhere and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We will be going back this summer, as well as Glacier.

Good campground but we found it noisy. Lots of big RV's running generators well past the cut off point and few rangers if any to enforce things. The location is nice, but expect the smell of sulpher. Good place to view elk. We herd wolves late at night too.
